Although controversial, CBD oil for pain management is all the rage these days. However, there’s more to it than being a miracle in treating chronic aches and pains. More and more people are starting to swear by and even preach the benefits of using CBD oil for overall health and wellness.

People who are taking it regularly claim to have seen positive effects on their heart health, metabolism, and even lower their cholesterol, that some have actually dubbed this as a “super supplement.” With all the good things that we are hearing about CBD oil, one question always comes to mind — does it really work?

What is CBD Oil and What are The Benefits?

CBD oil or oftentimes called “hemp oil” is extracted from cannabidiol that came from the controversial cannabis or marijuana plant. Unlike marijuana, which has hallucinogenic properties, cannabidiol does not. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — a component that makes marijuana a psychotropic drug. Without THC, CBD is not intoxicating, non-hallucinogenic, and is safe for daily use. CBD oil can help reduce anxiety, relieve pain, and even cancer-related symptoms.

Does CBD Oil Lower Cholesterol?

95 million Americans have total cholesterol levels that are higher than 200 mg/dL according to the CDC. Over half of which are already taking some form of medication to lower their cholesterol. Unfortunately, some medicines may have adverse side effects such as memory loss, developing neuropathy, and increases your risk of developing type-2 diabetes.

CBD oil is natural and is safe to take daily. An intriguing study published on by the National Institutes of Health suggests that when tested on mice, the results were positive and that 25% of the total cholesterol levels were reduced. Currently, there are no tests on humans yet.

Does CBD Oil Help With Blocked Arteries?

People who have high cholesterol are at a higher risk to develop heart disease and blocked arteries. While it is important to maintain an active lifestyle and eat better food, a recent study has shown promising signs that CBD oil can reduce the build-up of arterial plaque. This is good news for CBD oil users and those who wish to improve their heart health, the natural way.

Can CBD Lower Triglycerides?

Triglycerides are higher for people who eat more than calories than they burn. Having high triglycerides increases your risk of having a stroke, artery blockage, and heart disease. CBD, which is where CBD oil is extracted from is known to contain both omega 3 and 6, and polyunsaturated fats. These are good for the heart, promote lower cholesterol, and can lower triglyceride levels too.

Final Thoughts

So, going back to the question, “does it really work?” The short answer is, maybe. CBD oil is still a new thing but the science and studies behind it are really promising. It is natural and is deemed safe to use every day so there is no reason not to try it to improve your health and have a better quality of life.

Happy International Women's Day to all the women c Happy International Women's Day to all the women crushing it despite getting less pay, less startup funding, less everything when it comes to business. Let's do more than recognize women.
In 2023, it's time to:
*Buy from women-owned businesses
*Give women a seat at the table, preferably the board
*End all male speaking panels
*Invest in women startups, including those focused on serving women
*Include more women in clinical trials
*End toxic work cultures
*Support paid maternity leave policies
*Fill the wage gap between men and women
*Donate to nonprofits serving women
*Let women take time off of work for painful periods without stigma or penalty
*Work harder to specifically include and apply all of these principles to women from marginalized groups such as black women, disabled women, LGBTQ women, and females identifying as nonbinary, genderfluid, or genderqueer.
And so. much. more.

No one is giving $2 w🌱🌱d gummies to children No one is giving $2 w🌱🌱d gummies to children trick or treating on Halloween. Those reports you hear on the news simply aren’t true! ⁣

However, if you are attending a Halloween party for adults, ask if the candies, goodies, or drinks are special or infused! Edibles are more common at parties as an alternative to alcohol, especially in states where the plant has been legalized for both recreational & medical use.⁣
⁣
If you’re not used to consuming, try a small piece or half a piece, drink plenty of water, and make sure you have a safe place to sit if needed. And always call a rideshare aka Uber or Lyft home!⁣

It's more important than ever to take mushr00m supplements. Here's a little about how my favorite four mushr00ms work:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Lion’s Mane Mushr00ms: great for improving focus and memory. Lion's mane promotes neurogenesis, or birth of new brain cells.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Cordyceps Mushr00ms: great for fighting fatigue and increasing length of your workouts. It's especially helpful for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Turkey Tail Mushr00ms: great for supporting your immune system. Clinical trials have looked at its role in fighting cancer.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Reishi Mushr00ms: what can't the queen of mushr00ms do? It fights cancer, boosts the immune system, improves mood, levels blood sugar, and promotes heart health.⁣⁣

Well in the United States & many parts of the world, they are still illegal, similar to another misunderstood therapeutic green plant we celebrate on 4/20.
I've worked hard over the years in Denver & many other states to help decriminalize shr00ms and help people access information on how to use them for medical, spiritual, and stress relief purposes. I suggest following @decriminalizenature & @doubleblindmag for deeper info.
How are you celebrating today? ❤️ 🍄 ❤️

I’m not the only one, right? 😜 👩🏻‍🔬 💚
As a neuroscientist, I put out the first book on the potential causes of endocannabinoid deficiency and how to balance your ECS with or without plant medicine.
From stress to medications to diet to your genes, there are so many ways your ECS go go haywire. The fact that so many people respond to plant medicine is likely because so many of us have severe imbalances.
